How To Setup Vesta Control Panel On Centos 6.5 VPS
Our goal is to help people who want to use VPS while saving some money, so together with zPanel or ServerPilot, I would suggest Vesta Control Panel – a free, Russian hosting control panel. We should point out, that with zPanel you will get the necessary software including Apache, PHP5, MYSQL, PHPMyAdmin, FTP, Mail server and DNS. On the other hand, Vesta CP comes with whole new gadgets; it has almost all features that zPanel includes, plus two additional: Nginx and Varnish Cache.

SETTING UP VESTA CP
Vesta CP works on RedHat, Ubuntu but here, we will use CentOS as an example of how it works. We created a droplet with 512MB of RAM, 20GB SSD, 1TB Bandwidth and selected CentOS 6.5 64-bit.
When the VPS is ready, let us continue with installing Vesta CP.
Step 1 – Firstly, you should login to your server via SSH as root (for example, we will use Putty).
Step 2 – Next, download Vesta CP installation using the following command:
curl -O http://vestacp.com/pub/vst-install.sh
Step 3 – Next, issue the following command to start installing Vesta CP:
Step 4 – The installer will ask you to confirm starting the installation process. Type Y and hit Enter.
Step 5 – The installer will also ask you to enter a valid e-mail address. Double-check to make sure it is correct because Vesta CP will send your admin password to that e-mail.
Step 6 – Once you press Enter, the installer will start. Wait for the installation process to be finished.
Step 7 – If there were no errors, the installation should be finished quicker and you should see something like this:
You should also check your mailbox, just to be sure that the password is delivered to you.
Step 8 – When all of that is done, open your browser and login to Vesta CP UI using your VPS IP at port 8083: https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8083/. Login as admin and use the given password. As you can see, the link is https:// so you may have to confirm it on your browser.
You should be able to see the Vesta CP main UI.
And that’s it! You have now installed Vesta CP. Your VPS is ready to be used for all of your websites.
